Oh glorious, the jade sea will look even more beautiful than it once did. I heart <3 Luxons and John Stummie for this :3

I don't see anything molten in that picture, just the frozen Jade Sea cut up in blocks with fish and the little Leviathan inside.

I took that as the author wishes the Jade Sea would melt.

When I read the melting jade sea thingie I started dreaming that the player would undo the effects of the Jade Wind (Winds of Change, wasn't to hard to think of that). Man it would be great to walk through the old Echovald Forest. I really would have gotten my hopes up if it wasn't for the fact that when the Jade Sea would melt the Luxon territories would be pretty much unplayable as long as characters are not able to swim. And though they want to link to GW2, I can't see that happening

Well, you can see that the very bottom of the screen is submerged. Not easy to see due to the jade effects, but it's there. Try the larger image version.

Well, that's a great thing.

(aka: HotN was too boring to even dare doing it on more than 1 char unless needing desperately for 3rd para )

Thanks for the info! Going to hold my judgment on if they are going to really un-jade the jade sea. Neat idea but might cause some problems.

That is simply the northwestern corner of Rhea's Crater, where the monk boss hangs out. It has always looked that way, and there has always been liquid water in the vicinity down in the low-lying areas.

Its not hard to see because of the jade-effect,it is the jade effect.

Possibly. I'm afraid that being a Kurzick at heart, I don't know those lands as well. If it is indeed an existing area (I know there were a few flooded areas, I thought it was a nice touch at the tme, since the jade would keep the water from soaking into the soil) then the poster of the article actually has no source for the melting of the jade.

She's just posting it as pure speculation on her part.

well, they did make a few changes to the areas in kryta when they did wik...so it might be possible that we could see more of the jade sea and less of the jade---

would be pretty cool
(and yeah...hotn was bad...I have my 2nd character almost done with it--just so I can be done with it...and I dont think any of my others will even start it--though the extra nice bow is a nice touch).

I would love to see it melt. That would also give them the freedom to craft an expansion for GW2 set in Cantha that looked totally different than in GW1.

Hopefully the start of WoC will tie into the end of the Dragon festival.

/waterworks... DAMMIT, Stumme, I BELIEVED in a june release!

Joking. My main computer's wifi is still down, although I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the final parts of the new Machine will arrive today, so I can't really play. Well, except if I steal my father's laptop, which can play it at an amazing 800x600 resolution (leaving 50% of the screen covered with the interface...).

Anyway, I'm still really hoping that we'll see an introduction to WoC duing the festival.

Side note: I'm not sure I'd like the jade sea to melt. I may not like the luxons, but the jade sea is BEAUTIFUL!

My conjecture is that John's vacation will start on Tuesday. Thinking logically, that is when I would start mine in a similar position.

4th of July = paid holiday thus starting Tuesday you get that extra day added on to your two weeks. Also thinking about weddings and the relatives coming into town, rehearsal dinners etc. it makes sense to start your vacation a few days before the wedding is to happen.

Now, Thursday would certainly be time enough for all of this also but the coincidental placement of the Holiday makes me think that his vacation starts on Tuesday.

I could be completely wrong on this as it is all just guess work.

He's getting married the 9th and we don't know how long his honeymoon is going to be, but I wouldn't think he would take a vacation week before the wedding. He's not the bride who would have a million things to do during that week. But we just have to wait and see.
